Sarasota and Siesta Key Beach

I’ve been to Sarasota several times, and Siesta Key Beach was voted more than once as one of the top ten beaches in the world.  The sand isn’t sand, it’s crushed coral and it’s fluffy like baby powder.  In the blazing Florida sun, you can walk barefoot on this sand and never burn your feet – you can’t do that in New Jersey!  Aside from soft, silky sand, the water is as blue as the sky, full of wild life like pelicans and dolphins and Siesta Key Beach can sometimes have some of the best shells for shell hunters to enjoy.  Of course, my favorite part of being in Sarasota is visiting family and friends and taking photos of all the things I don’t get to see when I’m home.
