Hi, I’m LJ Innes, a freelance writer, sometimes advice columnist, blogger and fascinated photographer. Although I have a slight fetish for small leather pocketbooks, the artist in me has had to conform that part of my personality since there are three things I must always have with me: a notebook, a pen and my trusty cameras – a Nikon D3100 and a Canon point and shoot (you can’t just whip out a DSLR in the middle of a party, it frightens people) – so as you can see art is sacrifice. The small black leather purses I’ve acquired over the years now rest in my closet, waiting for the day when I might say, “I think I’ll leave the camera at home.” That’s really never going to happen. So, if you like small black leather pocketbooks or know anyone who does, feel free to write to me – they deserve a good home with someone who actually appreciates them enough to show them off in public.
I love art – words, pictures, paintings – I love all of it. Part of me wishes I’d figured all of this out earlier, before I got caught up in “the Matrix” thinking life was just about the 9-5 and all the slips of time in between were for when life was to be enjoyed. I know better now. I say, “It’s never too late to start living – all that matters is that you start.” I hope you enjoy my pics as much as I enjoy taking them and sharing them – taking photos brings me peace and happiness, sharing them brings me joy.
